How to use the cat age calculator
Enter the age of your cat in years. The first two cat years receive greater weight than later years.
How the calculation works
This common approximation treats a cat’s first year as about 15 human years, the second as about 9 more, and subsequent years as roughly 4 each.
Check your inputs carefully: an incorrect date can change a result. Dates and times are entered using your device settings, and no account is needed. For formal, legal, medical or financial purposes, verify the applicable local rules and official records.
Frequently asked questions
Does one cat year equal seven human years?
No. Cats mature much faster in their early years, so a flat multiplier is misleading.
Should I use this for medical or scientific decisions?
No. Fun comparisons are approximations and should not replace expert information.
Are the dates I enter uploaded?
No. AgeGlide calculates your results in your browser. Entered dates are not sent to our server for processing.
